THE LEGEND
A slave boy on Tatooine who built his own podracer and flew it like the Force itself was riding shotgun, because it was. Anakin Skywalker was the prophecy made flesh: the Chosen One, conceived by the Force, with more raw power than the Jedi Order had ever measured. He became the war's finest general, its boldest pilot, and its most human Jedi: he loved openly in an order that forbade it.
That love was the fault line. Fear of losing his mother, then his wife, was the lever a patient Sith Lord pulled for thirteen years, and the galaxy's brightest hope knelt in a burning temple and took a new name. But the prophecy never lied. It just took a longer road: the Chosen One did bring balance, at the very end, with a father's hands.

Anakin carries the strangest arc in fandom history: prequel-era audiences bounced off him, and then time did its work. The Clone Wars series spent seven seasons building the confident, funny, dangerous Anakin the films only sketched, and Hayden Christensen's ache aged into pathos. By the time he returned in the Obi-Wan and Ahsoka series, the crowd that once jeered was cheering.
Even the mockery turned to love: "I don't like sand" is quoted with genuine affection, and "this is where the fun begins" became the internet's go-to line for gleeful chaos. The fallen hero got his redemption on screen and off.
