Kollectorium began with a simple belief: every figure has a story worth preserving. Not just the newest releases. Not just the grails. Not just the expensive ones. Every figure.
The goal is not simply to build a collection tracker or a marketplace. It's to create the most complete living archive of sixth-scale collecting possible: shaped by collectors, corrected by collectors, and preserved for collectors.
The Archive will never truly be finished. New releases arrive. Old information resurfaces. Collections change hands. Forgotten figures are rediscovered. That is the point.
Kollectorium is built to preserve the history of this hobby, one figure at a time.

A NOTE FROM THE GRAND ARCHIVIST
The Archivist is currently buried under missing SKUs, disputed edition names, broken galleries, suspicious trade reports, and at least one cat-related keyboard incident. If something is wrong, missing, broken, or suspicious, leave a note in the Aviary two floors down. I read everything that comes through the tower. I'll get back to you when I get back to you.

01How do I add a figure to my Vault?▾
Open the Vault and hit ADD FIGURE. Search the Archive by name or SKU and it fills in everything: photos, release data, the lot. You just add your price, condition, and story. If your figure is not in the Archive yet, see the next question.
02A figure is missing from the Archive. What do I do?▾
Two roads. On any Archive page you can submit the record yourself and the Archivist reviews it. Or send a raven from the Aviary one floor down with the Missing Figure seal, and include what you know: SKU, maker, release year. Real release dates matter to us; the Archive does not guess.
03Is my collection public?▾
Only if you want it to be. Your Vault has three states: LOCKED (nobody sees anything), WISHLIST ONLY (visitors see what you hunt, not what you hold), and PUBLIC (the full display). Flip it in the Collection Room any time. Individual photos also have their own SHOW IN DISPLAY CASE switch.
04How does selling in the Bazaar work? What are the fees?▾
There are none. No platform fee, no cut, no auction clock, not ever. List a figure from your Vault (three photos required so buyers see the truth), set a price or accept trades, and every deal is a direct conversation between two collectors. The Bazaar is in testing while we sand the edges.
05Why do my wishlist items not show in the Bazaar?▾
Wishlist items stay private until you opt them in. Each wishlist figure has a SHOW IN BAZAAR toggle in its edit panel; flip it on and it appears in the Looking For tab for every collector to see. Off by default, because a wishlist is a diary first.
06What are the ranks next to collectors’ names?▾
Standing in the Archive, earned by doing the hobby: cataloguing your collection, contributing corrections, completing trades, being part of the square. There is no way to buy rank. The Archivist keeps the ledger and the ledger is fair.
07Why can’t I list or message yet?▾
You almost certainly can: accounts open with full access now, and the hand-approval queue from early testing is retired. If chat asks you for a display name, set one on your account page and the pen unlocks. If your account has been restricted by the Council, that is a different matter and you will have been told why; send a raven with the Account Help seal to talk about it.
08What is the Courtyard?▾
The town square. A feed for showcases, discussions, help requests (with a SOLVED mark when someone saves the day), VERSUS matchups, and figure news, plus a live chat that resets each day like any good tavern chalkboard. Guests can read everything; members do the talking.
09Can I add my photos to a figure’s Archive page?▾
Please do. Every figure page has an ADD A SHOT button under COMMUNITY PHOTOS; your shot hangs with your name on it, linked to your vault, and you can pin the batch to the Courtyard as a showcase in one click. The Archive is better when it shows figures living on real shelves.
10I build customs and kitbashes. Do they belong here?▾
They do now. Your Vault has a CUSTOM BUILDS bench: add the build with photos and its recipe (the part list other builders always ask about). House rule: customs live in your vault alone. They never enter the Archive, its counts, or its pages, so the catalogue stays a record of what was actually made.
11Where do I actually buy figures?▾
Three roads. The Bazaar for collector-to-collector deals with no fees. The Retailer Directory for shops the community rates, with ships-to and preorder-deposit details. And every maker page carries a WHERE COLLECTORS BUY module for that brand specifically.
12How should I trade safely?▾
Keep everything in the deal thread so there is a record. Keep your receipts. Use payment with buyer protection for anything that matters. Check the seller’s profile, history, and rank before committing. The Council reviews reports and removes bad actors, but it cannot reach into anyone’s wallet; see the Council Chamber below for the honest limits.

Trade safely, keep your receipts, and use buyer protection for anything that matters. The Archive remembers, but it can't reach into someone else's wallet.

Guides for collectors, written by collectors. Take one on your way out; they never need returning.
One flight down from the Codex, past a door that is always locked and somehow always oiled, stand the Diecast Knights: the Kollectorium's quiet garrison. You will never see them work. That is the point of them.
🛡️THE WALL WATCH
A Knight walks the ramparts every night and greets every visitor by the sound of their boots. He has never once been seen doing it. Ask him what he watches for and he will say the sunrise, mostly, and pour you a coffee that is somehow always fresh.
🐦THE CANARY KEEPER
Somewhere in the Archive a Knight keeps small yellow birds tucked between the pages. Nobody knows which pages, and she will not say. She insists they are simply fond of the paper. They sing so rarely that most Knights have never heard it. She always does.
⚖️THE LONG SWORD
The oldest Knight carries no blade at all, only a very old book with very patient pages. Nobody has ever seen him open it. The other Knights say he has never needed to, and hope he never does.
Your vault, your photos, and your records sleep behind this door. The Knights would like you to know they take the night shift personally, and that the Archivist brings them tea at three.
