THE LEGEND
Kahndaq remembers what the rest of the world forgot: five thousand years ago, a slave spoke a word of power and the lightning answered. The champion who rose from the mines did not free his people gently. He buried their oppressors, took the throne, and ruled with a justice so absolute the wizards who empowered him sealed their own champion away in stone rather than watch what he was becoming.
The tomb held for millennia. The word still works. Teth-Adam walks the modern world carrying the stamina of Shu, the swiftness of Heru, the strength of Amon, and a patience for modern diplomacy measurable in seconds. He is not a hero and has never once claimed to be. He is Kahndaq's own weather system, its protector and its warning, and the powers that carve up the world learn the same lesson its ancient tyrants did: whatever you call him, you do not kneel him.

Black Adam appeared exactly once in 1945's Marvel Family #1, died on the last page, and stayed dead for three decades: a disposable evil Captain Marvel. The modern character is almost entirely a 21st-century construction, built through Jerry Ordway's Power of Shazam and then Geoff Johns' JSA and 52, which turned him into comics' definitive antihero: a villain with a code, a king with a grave. Dwayne Johnson then spent over a decade willing the 2022 film into existence, a passion project he announced before some of its audience was born. However the movie's franchise ambitions fared, it fixed the character in the mainstream: the anti-Superman in black, the champion who answers the trolley problem by dropping the trolley on someone. The hierarchy of power did, at minimum, get noisier.
IN SIXTH SCALE
His sixth-scale presence is a Hot Toys affair: the Dwayne Johnson likeness in the black-and-gold suit, with the lightning-wreathed variants that give the figure its altar-of-power look. A Black Adam display is an effects showcase, crackling bolt accessories, hovering poses, the hood up or down, and the suit's matte black is unforgiving of dust and fingerprints, which collectors learn exactly once. He slots into a DC shelf as the counterweight: park him across from any Superman and the shelf develops a standoff all by itself.
