Ask the pilots of Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. and they will tell you Carol Danvers was already the best flier on the base before the sky ever answered her back. Then a Kree engine tore open above the desert, and the woman who walked out of the wreckage carried a piece of it in her blood: a photon furnace where her heart used to beat steady and human.
She has gone by other names since. Ms. Marvel, when the mantle still belonged to a mentor. Captain, once she earned the right to wear it outright and the Kree Empire learned to fear the sound of her call sign. Push her hard enough and the woman burns past gold into something closer to a small star, strong enough to punch a warship out of orbit and gentle enough to carry a scared kid out of a collapsing building in the same afternoon. Half Kree, half human, entirely unwilling to be anyone's weapon, Captain Marvel answers to nobody's ceiling but her own.

Carol Danvers first touched down in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 (1968), created by Roy Thomas and Gene Colan as a no-nonsense Air Force security chief working alongside the alien hero Mar-Vell. She graduated into her own book with Ms. Marvel #1 (1977, by Gerry Conway and John Buscema) before writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and artist Dexter Soy handed her the Captain Marvel name and a pilot's jacket to match in 2012, retiring decades of swimsuit-style costuming for a flight suit built for combat.
Brie Larson brought her to the screen in 2019's Captain Marvel, then carried the role through Avengers: Endgame and 2023's The Marvels, turning a character comics readers had circled for decades into one of the MCU's power-scale headliners. The name change and the costume upgrade both stuck: modern Carol Danvers is a captain in every sense, command voice included.
IN SIXTH SCALE
Hot Toys didn't rush to give Carol Danvers a seat at the sixth-scale table, and when they finally did, they clearly decided the flight suit deserved the same reverence usually reserved for armor: every panel line, every strap, every scorch mark from punching through an atmosphere rendered like it mattered. Good instinct. Captain Marvel doesn't accessorize the way a lot of Marvel headliners do; there is no signature weapon to hand-swap, no gadget belt worth looting for parts. The whole pitch is presence: the stance, the sash, the sense that this figure could put a fist through the shelf if the LED rig behind her eyes ever actually worked. Stand her next to the rest of the Avengers lineup and watch her hold her own without a single prop in hand, which, honestly, is the most on-character thing a Captain Marvel figure could do.
