Grown on rain-lashed Kamino from a bounty hunter's blood, the clones were ordered as an army and arrived as something the Republic never bargained for: people. Identical faces, identical training, and then a thousand small rebellions of self: names instead of numbers, paint on the armor, brothers instead of batchmates. Rex, Cody, Fives. The Jedi who led them learned their jokes.
Their tragedy was installed before birth. A chip, a phrase, and the galaxy's most loyal soldiers turned on the generals they loved, not as traitors but as victims of the longest con ever run. The good soldiers followed orders. The best of them, in the end, learned not to.

The prequels introduced them as CGI multitudes; The Clone Wars series performed one of fandom's great redemptions by giving the multitude faces. Over seven seasons the clones became the beating heart of the era: Dee Bradley Baker voicing an entire army as distinct individuals remains one of animation's quiet miracles.
Order 66 transformed from a plot beat into a tragedy fans grieve, and clone legions' paint schemes, the 501st blue, the 212th gold, became identity flags collectors and cosplayers wear like regiment colours.

Clones are the Star Wars shelf's other great army: where stormtroopers muster in white, clones bring regiment paint, phase-one and phase-two helmets, and named brothers with personality built into the weathering. Hot Toys has marched the ranks out steadily, from standard troopers to legion specialists.
