Matt Murdock was nine when a truckload of chemicals took his sight and gave him the city instead: every heartbeat, every lie in a witness's pulse, every scream three blocks over, rendered in a radar sense sharper than eyes ever were. A blind old soldier named Stick taught him to fight. His father's murder taught him why.
By day he is Hell's Kitchen's best defense attorney, sworn to the law. By night he is its Devil, for everything the law cannot reach. The two oaths do not reconcile, and the guilt sits in a confession booth between them; he asks forgiveness in advance and goes anyway. The neighborhood is one block of one borough. He has never once considered leaving it.

Created in 1964 by Stan Lee and Bill Everett, Daredevil became truly himself in 1979 when Frank Miller took over and poured crime noir into a superhero book: Elektra, the Kingpin, ninjas and Catholic guilt. Born Again remains one of the most acclaimed arcs in comics, and the whole grim street-level genre descends from that run.
Charlie Cox's Netflix series (2015) set the standard for street-level superhero television, its hallway fights endlessly imitated, and fan devotion resurrected him into the MCU proper with Born Again. The Devil, reliably, comes back.
IN SIXTH SCALE
Daredevil in sixth scale runs crimson: the horned red suit, the billy club that splits and grapples, and alternate Matt Murdock heads with the round glasses for lawyer-mode displays. The black homemade vigilante look from the series' first season gives collectors a striking second lane on the Marvel shelf, with Hot Toys handling the screen likenesses.
He fits a street-level corner beside a Punisher or a Kingpin the way the comics always intended. The full docket is below, newest first.
