I am Loki of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose.
THE LEGEND
A frost giant's son, left to die in a temple and raised as a prince of Asgard, Loki grew up in a golden hall built on a lie, and made lies his kingdom in return. God of Mischief, silver tongue, knife behind the illusion behind the smile: he has betrayed everyone he loves, usually mid-rescue, because for Loki treachery and affection were never opposites.
Count his deaths and resurrections and you lose track; count his thrones and you find the strange truth. The trickster who wanted a crown ended up holding something far heavier: alone at the end of all things, keeping every timeline alive, a god of stories minding the loom. He finally got his glorious purpose. It just cost him the audience.

Loki is the villain who charmed his way into co-ownership of the franchise. Tom Hiddleston auditioned for Thor, got the trickster instead, and stole 2012's The Avengers so completely that Marvel rebuilt its television strategy around him a decade later. The series' finale, Loki alone on his throne holding the multiverse together, is one of the MCU's few genuinely mythic images.
The comics ran a parallel redemption, reincarnating him as child, antihero and God of Stories. Norse mythology's original shape-shifter turned out to be exactly that in pop culture too: whatever each era needs him to be.
IN SIXTH SCALE
Loki is a tailor's figure: black-green-and-gold Asgardian leathers, the horned helmet (the single most recognizable silhouette in the Marvel villain wing), daggers for days, and the Tesseract usually somewhere it should not be. Hot Toys has followed him from Avengers antagonist through the TVA's beige bureaucracy.
He belongs within scheming distance of a Thor, looking like he has already stolen something. The full record of mischief is below, newest first.
