Miles Morales

A kid from Brooklyn with a scholarship he did not ask for, an uncle he should not idolize, and a spider (number 42) that bit the wrong student. Miles Morales inherited the mask when his world's Spider-Man fell, and spent exactly two days being the worst superhero alive before the leap of faith took: down the side of a glass tower, rising by falling. He is not a copy. The venom strike, the camouflage, the sneakers, the music: Miles carries powers Peter never had and weights Peter never carried, a cop's son and a graffiti artist's nephew keeping both faiths at once. Every universe keeps telling him how his story is supposed to go. He does his own thing. That is what makes him Spider-Man.
