KOLLECTORIUM
FROM THE KEEP · FRIDAY 11 SEPTEMBER
“I love it when a plan comes together.”
A quick state of the Keep, because quite a lot has moved over the last couple of weeks. 🏰
The Archive has crossed 5,300 figures, and it is now considerably lighter to browse. Pages load in smaller pieces instead of handing your device the entire Archive at once, which should be especially kinder to phones and mobile data.
Inside the Vault, collection tags now have their own little marks on cards and rows, the figure editor got a proper rebuild, and you can move through your collection from inside the sidebar without repeatedly closing it.
Kollectorium Radio now behaves much better on mobile too, including continuing to play with the app minimised or the screen off. 🎵
Figure pages have been getting richer. Release families can now bring different editions together and compare what actually changed between them, Sightings can preserve videos made about a specific release, and figure type is now visible as the Archive prepares to understand a much wider range of collectibles.
That range also officially got a little larger: 1/3 scale has entered the Archive, with Infinity Studio’s Cammy politely requiring a taller shelf.
And then there is time. You can now sort the Archive by Announce Date, with recently announced figures taking their proper place at the front. The historical dates are still being recovered and cleaned, so expect gaps while that work continues.
That last piece belongs to something much larger. You have probably already noticed the new door marked The Observatory.
The instruments behind it are getting rather busy. 🔭
More soon.
P.S.3 new figures came into the Archive, from Hot Toys.
