THE STORY
Forbidden Planet is a UK pop-culture and collectibles retailer founded in London in 1978 by Nick Landau, Mike Lake, and Mike Luckman, originally as a comics shop. Operated today by Forbidden Planet Limited, it runs a chain of UK stores alongside its webstore, which ships worldwide. Best known for comics and graphic novels, the site also stocks sixth-scale collectible figures from manufacturers including Hot Toys, ThreeZero, and Beast Kingdom. Pre-orders require no deposit; customers are charged in full only once stock is ready to dispatch.
