The chronology deepens, and the plaques learn to age
Three hundred and eighty-five more announcement days come home through the Desk, and nine dates that never belonged are struck from the record. Fourteen franchise plaques are rewritten to age gracefully — the living counts stay on the pages that count, and the prose stops carrying numbers that rot. The Bing index family is handed the fresh map of all 7,865 pages.
KOLLECTORIUM
FROM THE KEEP · MONDAY 31 AUGUST
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
A quieter thought from the Courtyard today.
We spend a lot of time preserving things here. Characters, costumes, films, games, tiny details from stories that meant something to us. A figure is only plastic and fabric, of course, but somehow it can also become a marker in time.
The figure you bought after moving house. The one that arrived during a strange summer. The shelf you built with someone. The character that takes you straight back to being twelve years old.
Collections quietly absorb the life happening around them.
So every now and then, step away from the shelves too. Look up at the stars. Stay outside five minutes longer. Listen properly when someone is talking. Notice where you are while you’re still there.
There will always be another figure to catalogue.
Some things don’t get rereleases in 1/6 scale ✨
P.S.2 new figures came into the Archive, from UJINDOU and VeryCool.
