The Courtyard vanished behind dust sheets this morning.
By noon, half the noticeboards were on the floor, somebody had misplaced the POST A NOTICE sign, and an Archivist was standing on a ladder insisting that maker logos were “not, technically, decorative heraldry.”
Nobody listened.
The work is now mostly finished. Notices have proper homes, photographs are bigger, conversations are easier to follow, and the whole square has been given the sort of polish normally reserved for rooms people aren’t allowed to eat in.
Petal has already inspected it.
She found one loose corner.
The builders have been recalled. 📌
