Factory Entertainment

Factory Entertainment was formed in 2009 to design and sell licensed toys and collectibles, and that year it bought the Master Replicas brand from Corgi International. Prop replicas became its signature: full-size limited editions and smaller open editions of things like the golden gun from James Bond, the flux capacitor from Back to the Future and the skeleton key from The Goonies, with plush, barware and other licensed goods alongside.

At San Diego Comic-Con in July 2025 the company showed its first 1/6 scale action figure line, its first move into premium figures. The opening characters were classic film and television heroes, all under licence with actor likenesses.

From Jaws come Quint in Robert Shaw's likeness, with cap and bandana to swap, a field jacket and a flotation barrel, and Matt Hooper as Richard Dreyfuss played him, frameless glasses, beanie and sun hat included. The Mummy supplies Rick O'Connell in Brendan Fraser's likeness, loaded with revolvers, a pump-action shotgun, an Egyptian sword and the Book of the Dead. The original Battlestar Galactica adds the Viper pilots Apollo, from Richard Hatch, and Starbuck, from Dirk Benedict, the latter with movable eyes and a Colonial blaster on his hip.

A replica maker approaches a figure the way it approaches a prop: the accessories are where the research shows. The figures come with a display base and a printed backdrop, a sign of a company used to building things for the shelf rather than the toy box.
