Memo Studio

Memo Studio works differently from nearly every other maker on these shelves. Its sixth scale figures are built after a commission comes in, so there is no production run, no shipping date and no fixed retail price to follow. That is why its figures read MADE TO ORDER where a release date would normally sit: a Memo figure exists once somebody asks for it.

The shelf is Sports, and football leads. Cristiano Ronaldo appears in more moments than anyone, from the young Manchester United winger to the Ballon d'Or and the celebration that ends in "Siu". Lionel Messi comes in Barcelona colours and in his Qatar World Cup kit, and David Beckham covers the 1998 World Cup, his Manchester United years and AC Milan. The legends reach back to Roberto Baggio, Ronaldo Nazário, Zinedine Zidane, Alessandro Del Piero, Thierry Henry and Javier Zanetti, and forward to Erling Haaland, Lamine Yamal and Lautaro Martínez.

Tennis gets the same treatment. Rafael Nadal appears at Roland Garros in 2006, Roger Federer at Wimbledon in 2007 and through his 2017 season, with Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner beside them. Formula 1 adds Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris.

Because each figure is made for the person who ordered it, the useful questions are about the moment: which kit, which season, which final. Memo's catalogue is organised that way, one particular day in a career at a time.
