THE STORY
Hobby Link Japan (HLJ) was founded in 1995 by Scott T. Hards, initially shipping Japanese hobby products from a Tokyo apartment. The company now operates a warehouse and office in Sano, Tochigi Prefecture, and lists over 120,000 products including model kits, Gundam, and anime figures, shipping to more than 220 countries. HLJ accepts credit card and PayPal payment, the latter processed through payment provider Reach. Orders are not charged until items are in stock; its Private Warehouse service lets customers consolidate multiple orders and store paid items free for up to six months before combining them into one shipment.
