Medicom Toy is a Japanese manufacturer with roots going back to the late 1990s, making them one of the oldest brands in the collector figure space. Their RAH (Real Action Heroes) 1/6 line predates the Hot Toys hegemony and has maintained a loyal following through consistent production across both Japanese-market licences (Kamen Rider, Evangelion, Ultraman) and Western properties like Star Wars and Marvel.

The Medicom approach has always been distinctly Japanese in its sensibility: figures that sit at an interesting middle point between articulated toy and premium collectible, with engineering priorities that sometimes differ from the Western-influenced premium brands. RAH bodies prioritize extreme articulation over the hidden-joint aesthetics that Hot Toys and InArt pursue; the result is a figure that can achieve any pose convincingly, if you're willing to accept more visible joints.
