Court of the Dead Figures

Court of the Dead is [Sideshow](/manufacturer/sideshow)'s own world, the company's first original property, launched in 2013 and created by its chief creative officer Tom Gilliland. It is a gothic underworld split into three factions, Bone, Flesh and Spirit, led by Xiall, Gethsemoni and Kier, and it began life as a series of premium format statues before spreading into games and puzzles.

In sixth scale, Sideshow has handed its characters to outside makers, and Sideshow itself sold the TBLeague figures. [TBLeague](/manufacturer/tbleague) opened the line with [Kier](/character/kier), First Sword of Death, built on its seamless female body with translucent effects, a cloak, armor, sword and skull mask. A variant, Kier: Shadow of Heaven, imagines a timeline in which she was formed as flawlessly as her twin sister, and [Gethsemoni](/character/gethsemoni), the Dead Queen, followed from the same maker. [ThreeZero](/manufacturer/threezero) added [Demithyle](/character/demithyle) and [Malavestros](/character/malavestros).

Because there is no actor's face to match, collectors judge these figures on how faithfully they carry the statue designs into an articulated body: the bone details, the layered armor, the way the cloth drapes. Many collect the faction leaders as a set, and they sit comfortably next to other [original](/franchise/original) worlds on the shelf.
