TBLeague

TBLeague is one of the most influential companies in sixth scale, and most collectors met them under a different name. The company began as Phicen, and its seamless elastomer bodies, stretched over fully articulated stainless-steel skeletons, quietly changed what a 1/6 figure could be. No visible joints. Real flexibility. A silhouette that finally looked human.

The rebrand has a story of its own. The Phicen trademark was registered out from under the company by an opportunist in Japan who then pressured dealers with complaints, so around the end of 2017 the company reintroduced itself as TBLeague. Same factory, same bodies, two names on the secondary market to this day. Older boxes say Phicen, newer ones say TBLeague, and seasoned collectors treat them as one continuous archive.

One collector footnote worth knowing: the bodies are often described as silicone, but the company itself has confirmed the material is TPE, a thermoplastic elastomer. Whatever the chemistry, the result set the standard, and a large share of the third-party hobby, from SW Toys to Iconiq Studios, builds its figures on TBLeague bases.

Their own boxed output leans into mythology, fantasy, and original designs: Egyptian gods, warrior queens, Red Sonja, Vampirella, and a long parade of armored originals under PL-series codes. It is one of the largest single catalogues in the Archive, and one of the most distinctive.
