HISTORY & CULTURE & THE SIXTH SCALE

The source material for this wing was written by no one and witnessed by everyone: the real past, no script attached. Sixty-five figures of thirty-six subjects live here, emperors and legionaries, khans and gladiators, rendered by houses whose reference material is not a film still but a museum case.

It is the smallest of the Archive's six great catch-all wings, and pound for pound the most armored.

EMPIRES PER SHELF

CooModel leads with fifteen figures, its die-cast Sengoku warlords foremost among them. 303 Toys files thirteen, including its emperor line, and the dynasties arrive with bureaucratic neatness: Qin, Tang, Ming and Qing at three figures each. Haoyu Toys holds Rome, nine figures of the ancient city led by five gladiators and a Julius Caesar, with UJINDOU, TBLeague and Pop Toys working the wing's further corners.

The most common resident, as in Military, is the anonymous professional: fifteen unnamed soldiers of vanished armies, legionaries and retainers whose names history kept to itself.

THE BORDER WITH LEGEND

History leaks into myth at the edges, and the Archive draws the lines deliberately: the Three Kingdoms became literature and so earned a wing of their own, the gods hold court in Myths & Legends, and the anonymous modern soldier reports to Military. What remains here is the documented past, standing at one-sixth of its actual size.

Which, for Napoleon, is a more generous scale than usual. The Archivist apologizes for nothing.
