CC Toys

CC Toys works the video-game shelf, and it works it in code. Its figures carry alternate names in place of licences they never held: The Last of Us became The Last Survivor, and the three leads of Grand Theft Auto V arrived as Mike, Toveron and Frank. Nothing on the box mentions Naughty Dog or Rockstar. These are unofficial figures, and the collectors who buy them know it.

The Last Survivor is where the studio made its name. The line opened in 2019 with Joel Miller and came back for The Last Survivor Part II, built on the sequel, with Ellie Williams among its subjects. Collectors still trade the heads and bodies from these sets on their own, which says plenty about how well the sculpts landed.

The Grand Theft Auto V trio followed in 2022, each figure dressed for its man. Michael wears his suit and carries the carbine rifle he starts the game with. Trevor Philips comes in a dress, with his bear, Mr. Raspberry Jam. Franklin gets a varsity jacket in Grove Street colours. All three share the heist kit: ski mask, two sidearms, bales of money and a duffle bag.

From Los Santos the studio went to the Lands Between, with a figure of Ranni, the witch of Elden Ring. For game characters that have never had a licensed sixth scale figure, CC Toys is one of the few makers filling the gap, alias and all.
