EKUAZ Studio makes unofficial sixth scale figures of film and game characters, and it does not pretend otherwise: its Armando Salazar was presented as a fan work, unlicensed and unaffiliated with Disney. Like most studios in this corner of the hobby, EKUAZ says very little about itself. The figures do the talking, in EKS catalogue numbers.
Resident Evil runs right through the catalogue. HUNK, the gas-masked Umbrella operative who survives everything, arrived in 2020 and has been back since, and Leon S. Kennedy followed in his Resident Evil: Damnation gear. A Squid Game guard in the pink jumpsuit and a smaller-scale Punisher sit among the early numbers.
Metal Gear took the studio into the jungle with two versions of Naked Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, one of them in ERDL camouflage. Then it went to sea. The Pirates of the Caribbean wing gives Hector Barbossa more than one telling from The Curse of the Black Pearl, in regular and deluxe forms, and sets Salazar of Dead Men Tell No Tales beside him. The Salazar was developed with Echo Design and comes in full battle-damaged costume with a metal rapier, a cane, a genuine leather belt and a ghost seagull, which tells you how seriously the studio takes a supporting villain.
The Joker of The Dark Knight has joined the line as well. As with any unofficial figure, the head sculpt and the tailoring carry the case, and EKUAZ puts its effort exactly there.
