Snake Toys

Snake Toys makes sixth scale figures of screen gunslingers, numbered in an ST-SCB series. The taste is narrow and clear: men in long coats and hats who settle things with a revolver, from the spaghetti Western to the San Francisco precinct.

ST-SCB01 is Blondie, the Man with No Name of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, which sellers have listed as The Good Cowboy and Blonde Cowboy, with a DX version among the editions. The poncho, the cigarillo squint and the gun belt are the whole character, and a figure of him is judged on whether the face can hold that squint. Sideshow has also made Blondie in sixth scale, so the comparison is ready-made.

ST-SCB02 rides into Tombstone for Wyatt Earp, the lawman of the 1993 film, moustache, black coat and all. ST-SCB03 leaves the frontier for the city: Inspector Harry Callahan of Dirty Harry, the detective with the big revolver and the short temper.

Put together, the line reads like a double bill at a revival cinema, and it rewards collectors who build a shelf by genre rather than by franchise. These figures are mostly cloth and leather, so look closely at the tailoring of the coats and the fit of the holsters, and check which edition a listing actually is, since the deluxe versions carry more of the kit.
